Garden Soil

If you want to have large, healthy plants, you will need a good garden soil. This can be cultivated with a little work. One of the first things you need to do is make sure you add lots of organic materials such as compost to your garden.

Another way to get great garden soil is to add earthworms to your garden. They can be bought in many places, and give multiple benefits to the soil. Worms aerate the soil, allowing your plants to breathe better, and they also create highly nutritious vermicompost.

Planting cover crops is a great way to improve your garden soil, because when they die they will add a lot of nutrients to the soil. You will also want to have specific garden paths that you restrict foot traffic to in order to protect your soil. These are just a few of the ways you can improve your soil.
